Harvey Phillip Spector (December 26, 1939 – January 16, 2021) was an American record producer and songwriter primarily[2] known for his Wall of Sound production style in the 1960s, followed by his trials and imprisonment for murder after the 2000s. Considered the first music producer auteur, he is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in pop music history[3][4] and the most successful producer of the 1960s.[
