– Ghazipur-Zamania-Saiyad Raja-Manikpur Greenfield Highway Project The Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB), Regional Office, Varanasi, has announced a public hearing regarding the proposed Greenfield 4-Lane Highway project from Ghazipur–Zamania–Saiyad Raja–Manikpur (Chainage 0+000 to 51+850) on NH-24 (Old NH-97) in Uttar Pradesh. The project proposal has been submitted by the Project Director, National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India. Public Hearing Details: Date: 01 July 2026 Time: 3:00 PM Venue: Tehsil Sadar Auditorium, Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh The hearing will be conducted under the provisions of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Notification issued by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India, and will be chaired by the Additional District Magistrate (Finance & Revenue), nominated by the District Magistrate, Ghazipur. Members of the public are invited to submit their suggestions, views, comments, and objections regarding the project. Copies of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Report and Executive Summary are available for public inspection at designated offices, including the District Magistrate Office, Ghazipur; UPPCB Headquarters, Lucknow; Regional Office UPPCB Varanasi; District Industries Centre Ghazipur; District Panchayat Office Ghazipur; and MoEFCC Regional Office, Lucknow.
