The Kangra Central Co-Op Bank Ltd., Bani Branch, District Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, has issued a possession notice under the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest (SARFAESI) Act, 2002 and Rule 8(1) of the Security Interest (Enforcement) Rules, 2002. The notice relates to borrowers Sh. Rajnish Kumar and Sh. Rakesh Kumar, both sons of Sh. Bhagat Ram, along with the guarantors, for an outstanding loan amount of ₹5,33,497 plus applicable interest, expenses, and other charges. Following non-payment despite the demand notice dated 20 April 2026, the bank has taken possession of the secured immovable property on 30 June 2026. The property comprises land and building situated at Tikka Ghumarwin, Tappa Bani, Tehsil Barsar, District Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, as detailed in the possession notice. The owners/occupiers have been directed to hand over vacant possession within 30 days, failing which the bank may proceed with enforcement measures and auction of the property in accordance with the provisions of the SARFAESI Act. The public is advised not to enter into any transaction concerning the secured property, as it remains subject to the bank's charge until the outstanding dues are fully recovered.
