Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi, has issued a public notice regarding the proposed disposal and permanent destruction of medical records, files, reports, and related documents dated between 01 January 2019 and 31 December 2022, after completion of the prescribed retention period. Patients, legal representatives, insurers, employers, legal heirs, government authorities, or any person with a legitimate interest in these records are requested to submit any request, objection, claim, or requirement for retrieval, inspection, certification, or preservation of records within 30 days from the date of publication of the notice. After the expiry of the 30-day period, and subject to applicable laws and regulations, the hospital may destroy, archive, or otherwise dispose of the records in accordance with its record retention policy. Copies of lawfully destroyed records may not be available thereafter.
