Description: This is an official public notice issued by the Umred Nagar Parishad under the provisions of the Maharashtra Fire Prevention and Life Safety Measures Act, 2006 (amended 2023). The notice is addressed to all government, semi-government, commercial, and public buildings within the municipal limits, including schools, colleges, hospitals, hotels, malls, banks, petrol pumps, restaurants, and other establishments. It mandates compulsory implementation of fire prevention and life safety measures in all buildings and requires owners or occupiers to ensure that fire-fighting equipment is installed, maintained, and kept in working condition. It also directs that Fire Safety Audits must be conducted twice a year (January and July) by licensed agencies approved by the Maharashtra Fire Services Department. All concerned stakeholders are instructed to submit fire safety audit reports to the Umred Municipal Council Fire Department.
