A public notice has been issued regarding the proposed correction of the surname/caste of Zahid Ali, son of Ali Mohammad Parimoo, from "Parimoo" to "Najar" in his school, Board of School Education, and University of Kashmir records. The matter is currently pending before the Sub-Judge (Chief Judicial Magistrate), Srinagar. As directed by the Hon'ble Court through its order dated 20 June 2026, the notice has been published in newspapers inviting objections from the general public. Anyone having any objection to the proposed correction may submit it before the Hon'ble Court within seven days from the date of publication. Objections received after the stipulated period will not be entertained
