The Supreme Court on Wednesday said a bench headed by Justice P.S. Narasimha will hear in July a plea challenging the decision to conduct a re-test for NEET-UG 2026. The National Testing Agency had on May 12 cancelled the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Undergraduate) held on May 3 amid allegations of a paper leak. A re-test is scheduled for June 21, while the CBI is investigating the matter. The plea came up before a bench of Chief Justice of India Surya Kant and Justice V. Mohana, which said the matter would be listed before the Justice Narasimha-led bench when the court resumes normal functioning after partial working days. The bench headed by Justice Narasimha is already hearing related petitions concerning NEET-UG 2026. The fresh plea has sought quashing of the decision to conduct the re-test and has also sought an interim stay on the re-test pending disposal of the petition.
