Legal Correspondent HYDERABAD:The Telangana High Court on Friday refused interim protection from arrest to Bandi Sai Bhageerath, son of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, in an interlocutory petition connected to his anticipatory bail application in a case registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. A vacation bench led by Justice Tangirala Madhavi Devi heard detailed arguments. The court declined to extend interim relief but said the main anticipatory bail petition will be taken up for hearing next week before the vacation court. Justice Madhavi Devi stated that have gone through statement of victim, though not in detail, at this stage I am not inclined to grant any interim order. The allegations against Bandi Sai Bageerath arise under provisions of the POCSO Act. The matter remains pending before the High Court.
