Lions Club of Kolkata Grand, District 322B1, proudly organized the inauguration of new beds in the ICCU, General Ward, and Children’s Ward at Saroj Gupta Cancer Centre & Research Institute, Thakurpukur, Kolkata. This initiative is dedicated to the cherished memory of Lion Neetu Baid, the inspiration behind Lionathon, supporting the noble cause of improving healthcare facilities for children suffering from childhood cancer. The program was graced by distinguished dignitaries including Lion Manju Chamaria, District Governor 322B1, Lion Pramil Rungta, District Governor (E) 322B1, Lion AP Singh, International President, and Lion Sangeeta Jajoo, PID & Board Appointee, along with Mr. Anjan Gupta, Hon’ble Secretary, and Dr. Arnab Gupta, Director of the hospital. This humanitarian initiative was made possible with the support of Lions International Global Causes and various associate partners, co-sponsors, media partners, and service contributors, united under the vision of “A Step for Hope” through Lionathon, aimed at strengthening healthcare support for children battling cancer. Together, this effort reflects the commitment of Lions International towards service, compassion, and community welfare.
