DESIGNATION: – FLOORMAN JOB SUMMARY/ RESPONSIBILITIES The primary responsibility of the Floor man is to assemble, operate, maintain, and disassemble all rod and tubing handling equipment, rig support equipment, and special tools required to perform services requested by the client. Stress the safety program to the rig crew and make sure that it is followed. By ensuring compliance with company safe work practices, the Floor man will be able to develop safe work habits within his rig crew. Operate and maintain the rig tubing and rod tongs, air slips, rod and tubing elevators, manual tongs, and all special tools utilized at the rig floor level.
