$3,000 - $4,000 Full time Job Description Key Responsibilities Process Analysis & Design: Map and analyze the end-to-end supply chain for steel fabrication, from raw material sourcing to finished goods shipment. Design and implement lean manufacturing and logistics processes to eliminate waste, reduce lead times, and improve throughput. Develop and optimize material flow plans within the fabrication facility (cutting, bending, welding, galvanizing/painting, assembly). Cost & Supplier Management: Conduct detailed cost analysis (Should-Cost Modeling) for fabricated steel components, considering material, labor, overhead, and processing costs (e.g., galvanizing). Support the procurement team in supplier evaluation, selection, and development, with a focus on steel mills, service centers, and coating vendors. Analyze supplier quotations for technical and commercial feasibility. Drive cost-saving initiatives through value engineering and alternate sourcing strategies. Planning & Inventory Optimization: Collaborate with Production Planning to develop efficient production schedules that balance capacity, material availability, and customer demand. Implement and manage inventory strategies (Raw Material, WIP, Finished Goods) using MRP/ERP systems. Establish safety stock levels and reorder points for critical steel items. Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routing standards in the ERP system to ensure accurate planning and costing. Logistics & Continuous Improvement: Analyze and optimize packaging, shipping, and freight logistics for bulky steel structures to minimize damage and transportation costs. Lead or participate in cross-functional continuous improvement (Kaizen) projects focused on supply chain resilience, quality, and efficiency. Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to monitor supply chain performance (OTD, Inventory Turns, Cost of Quality). New Product Introduction (NPI): Work closely with Engineering during the design phase to ensure manufacturability, sourcing feasibility, and cost-effectiveness of new support structure products (DFM/DFA). Develop the supply chain and launch plan for new products, including supplier ramp-up and initial inventory planning.
