About the job Candidates are encouraged to pursue their own research along with working on Affective Psychophysiology Laboratory (HSE University, Institute of Health Psychology) research projects such as: o Emotion regulation and coping: physiological and psychometric properties o Cognitive and emotional aspects of humour o Psycholinguistics + psychosomatics o Emotion recognition in mobs o General and specific anxiety in problem solving Candidates (from any country) must hold a recent PhD in the field of Psychology or Neuroscience or related areas which was awarded over the last 5 years and have a strong background in any subfield of Psychology or Neuroscience of Emotion, ability to apply physiological (EEG, ECG, polygraphy, transcranial stimulation, etc.) and/or psychological (surveys, interviews) methods; as well as statistical knowledge. Fluent English is obligatory, Russian is not required, but desirable. The Institute of Health Psychology (Saint Petersburg, Russia, https://ihp.hse.ru/en/ ) conducts fundamental and applied research on health and well-being from an interdisciplinary perspective, drawing in fields such as psychophysiology, clinical and social psychology, linguistics, and sociology.
