Detailed Job description : - 1. Project Strategy and Planning: o Develop and implement the organization's strategy in alignment with its business goals. o Plan long-term strategies for IT infrastructure, hardware, software, and network resources. o Advise senior management on current trends, new technologies, and innovations. 2. Management of Operations: o Oversee the operation and maintenance of the organization's computer systems, networks, and telecommunications. o Ensure all systems and platforms are working efficiently and effectively. o Monitor performance and manage troubleshooting and technical support. 3. Team Leadership and Supervision: o Lead and manage a team of professionals, including IT support staff, systems administrators, and software developers. o Allocate tasks, manage workloads, and ensure team members have the necessary skills and tools. o Provide training and development opportunities for team members. 4. Budgeting and Financial Management: o Develop and manage budgets for projects and operations. o Negotiate with vendors for hardware, software, and services to ensure cost-effective solutions. o Control the budget and ensure efficient use of resources. 5. Project Management: o Manage projects, including system upgrades, implementations, and expansions. o Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the organization's requirements. o Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals and evaluate outcomes. 6. Risk Management and Security: o Identify potential risks related to infrastructure and implement measures to mitigate them. o Ensure that data security protocols are in place, including safeguarding against cyber threats and data breaches. o Maintain compliance with relevant laws and regulations regarding security and data protection. 7. Vendor and Stakeholder Management: o Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers. o Coordinate and monitor service level agreements (SLAs) and ensure that vendors meet agreed-upon terms. o Liaise with other departments and external stakeholders to ensure effective use of resources. 8. Systems Development and Maintenance: o Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of software systems and applications. o Ensure that systems are scalable, secure, and meet business needs. o Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with software or hardware. 9. Technology Research and Innovation: o Stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends in the field. o Evaluate and introduce new tools, systems, or methodologies that can improve operational efficiency or provide competitive advantages. o Research emerging technologies and assess their potential application within the organization. 10. Support and Troubleshooting: o Provide technical support to end-users and troubleshoot problems related to hardware, software, and networks. o Manage and oversee the help desk or support team to ensure effective response to user queries. 11. Compliance and Documentation: o Ensure that systems adhere to relevant compliance standards (e.g., data protection laws, security standards). o Maintain documentation for systems, procedures, and configurations.
