ROLE SUMMARY:
Bridging science, strategy and medical innovation, the medical organization will have a lasting impact on patients across diverse European healthcare landscapes.
ThePrimaryCareCategoryDirector (PCD)will lead a team of medical affairsscientistsdedicated to Pfizer’sVaccines and Internal Medicineassets inTürkiye reporting directly to Country Medical Senior Director.This team will ensure the safe and effective use of Pfizer medicinesand vaccines.
As part ofthePrimaryCare CategoryLT, the Medical CategoryDirectorwilldrivescientific and operational excellence for allPrimary CareCategory medical processes andwill manageMedical Affairs Scientists.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Accountable forinforming and co-developing thePrimary CareCategory(PCC)medical operating planand fully accountable for execution while embracing new tools and frameworks for medical excellence and operational efficiency.
Drives acustomer and patient centric medical organizationthatleveragesstrong scientific and medicalexpertiseto build strong partnerships with HCPs, regulators, and external stakeholders, while providingstrategic thoughtpartnershipfor commercial marketing, regulatory, compliance and access initiatives.
Representsthe PCC to external bodies for Vaccine relatedissues;
RepresentsPCC through relationships with medical associations, societies, academic medicalcentersand industryassociations;
Plans and executes the respective KOL strategy forTurkeyon highly ethical and medical professionalism grounds and brings their input into the medical strategies andplans;
Communicates the value of the MA function to internal stakeholders (championing cross functional working, and working with the Global and Emerging Market teams and Country Medical Director);
Along with Category and MQG teams, designs, implements and evaluates systems andprocesses to ensure full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Acaring,compassionateand authentic leaderwho upholds the highest standards of ethics, probity,integrityand compliance with regulatory,financialand legal requirements and fosters ahigh-performing medical team culture, supporting growth and talent development.
Leads,managesand coaches in-country Medical Affairs Scientistswho will generate,analyse, exchange and act on insights that support the safe and effective development andutilizationof Pfizermedicines and vaccinesto improve patient outcomes.
Communicates the value of the MA function to external stakeholders, aligning with customer needs, enhancingreputationand bringing medical insights into theorganisation.
QUALIFICATIONS
A PharmacywithPhDor Medicaldegree coupled with strong pharmaceutical experience and knowledge. A medical degree (MD)and/orPhDis highlydesirable.*
Minimum of5years of experience in medical affairs ortransferrableknowledge fromrelated rolesis of preference.(Vaccinesexp.ispreferred)
Experience in leading teams through transformation is of preference.
Ability to lead in a matrixed, cross-functional environment.
Strong understanding ofTurkishhealthcare system, regulatory landscapes, and medical governance.
A full, detailed understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in the pharmaceutical industry
Excellent communication,interpersonaland leadership skills.
