Medical Assistant Actalent•Santa Barbara, CA• Job Title: Medical Assistant We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will support patient care by managing front-office tasks and assisting with clinical duties. You'll play a key part in ensuring smooth operations, excellent patient experiences, and accurate documentation. Responsibilities Schedule and confirm patient appointments with accuracy and professionalism. Provide outstanding customer service to patients, families, and staff. Update and maintain patient records in the electronic health system. Handle inbound and outbound calls for appointment reminders, follow-ups, and inquiries. Assist with basic clinical tasks such as taking vitals, preparing exam rooms, and supporting providers as needed. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinic protocols at all times. Essential Skills Customer service experience. Call center experience. Appointment scheduling skills. Healthcare experience Bilingual in Spanish. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Medical assisting or dental assisting diploma preferred. X-ray certification is a plus.
