To ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of all plant equipment and utilities through effective preventive and corrective maintenance programs. The Maintenance Engineer plays a key role in maintaining safe, efficient, and continuous operation of the production facility.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, and supervise preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment breakdowns.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs, history cards, and asset tracking systems.
• Oversee corrective activities to minimize downtime and optimize spare part usage.
• Manage mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems reliability.
• Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for support, spare parts, and service contracts.
• Participate in equipment installation, commissioning, and modifications.
• Supervise and coach the Planner, Technicians and Forklift Driver as needed.
• Assign daily maintenance tasks and monitor completion reports.
• Report maintenance KPIs to the Production Manager.
• Maintain safety compliance for all maintenance activities
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or chemical production environment.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Strong hands-on experience in troubleshooting industrial equipment and conducting root cause analysis (RCA).
• Solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems in a production facility.
• Experience with CMMS systems, maintenance logs, asset tracking, and documentation control.
• Ability to manage equipment reliability and minimize downtime in continuous production operations.
• Experience coordinating with OEMs, contractors, and spare parts suppliers.
• Practical experience in equipment installation, commissioning, and plant modifications.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• NativeArabic
• Strong command of technical English.
