The Watertown Fire Department is a full-time fire department with a service area of 145 square miles covering approximately 30,000 citizens. The fire department operates out of one station which is staffed with a maximum of 9 personnel working 24-hour shifts. The Watertown Fire Department responds to both city and rural emergency calls, uses a two-paramedic service, and runs approximately 3,000 emergency calls per year.
