HVAC Full time · Mid career · 3 - 7 Years of Experience Manufacturing Job Description The HVAC Acoustic Design Engineer is responsible for the design, engineering, and validation of noise control solutions for industrial and commercial HVAC systems. This role ensures all installations meet acoustic comfort, safety, and regulatory standards while providing technical leadership to the commercial and sales teams. Key Roles & Responsibilities 1. Technical Design & Acoustic Solutions Acoustic Simulation: Perform detailed acoustic calculations and modeling to predict noise levels and optimize system performance using industry-standard software. Product Selection: Generate precise technical selections for Sound Attenuators, Acoustic Louvers, and Acoustic Enclosures based on client requirements and mechanical schedules. Custom Engineering: Develop cost-effective, innovative acoustic solutions to resolve complex noise problems. System Integration: Design noise control paths to achieve specific Noise Criteria (NC) levels for: Air Handling Units (AHU): Supply and Return air paths. Ventilation Systems: Fresh Air, Exhaust, and Car Park fans. Power Generation: Air intake/discharge attenuators and generator room acoustics. 2. Standards & Compliance Regulatory Alignment: Ensure all designs and products strictly comply with international standards including ASHRAE, SMACNA, and DW 144, as well as local environmental noise ordinances. Quality Assurance: Maintain a deep understanding of the company’s manufacturing capabilities to ensure all proposed designs are technically feasible, manufacturable, and high-performing. 3. Commercial & Sales Support Technical Expert: Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) during client meetings and technical presentations. Proposal Management: Prepare accurate technical submittals, providing critical data (e.g., Insertion Loss, Static Pressure Drop) to support and secure project awards.
