About the Role
FireCatt is the nation's leader in fire hose testing. Our Team Leaders are working supervisors who travel with their teams to customer sites across the country. You'll drive the van, oversee equipment and Mobile Test Labs (MTLs), and ensure your team performs accurate, safe, and professional hose testing every day.
This is not a desk job. It's a physically demanding leadership role where you work alongside your team, guide daily operations, and represent FireCatt with customers, Scheduling, Fleet, and Operations. If you enjoy leading by example and want a role where your work directly supports first responders, this could be the next step in your career.
What You'll Do
Lead a traveling team of 3--6 Fire Hose Technicians
Drive the van, ensure vehicle readiness, and oversee equipment and MTL maintenance
Execute the daily plan, including arrival times, workflow, testing order, and customer expectations
Train, coach, and hold team members accountable to FireCatt's standards and SOGs
Work alongside your team performing hose testing, data collection, and documentation
Partner with Operations when issues arise that affect timelines, safety, or customer needs
Model professionalism with customers and address onsite concerns promptly and respectfully
Complete daily reporting, manage receipts, inventory, and end-of-loop requirements
What We're Looking For
Valid driver's license (required) --- candidates must meet FireCatt's insurance eligibility criteria and successfully pass a DOT physical
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience directing the work of others, providing feedback, and holding team members accountable
Physically capable of lifting 80--100 lbs, maneuvering fire hose, climbing on apparatus, and working outdoors in varying environments
Mechanical aptitude strongly preferred --- the role requires basic troubleshooting of equipment, vehicles, and testing components while in the field
Proven ability to lead by example, uphold safety and procedural standards, and address performance concerns professionally and promptly
Composed and solution-oriented in dynamic situations, including schedule changes, customer needs, and unexpected operational challenges
Strong organizational skills with consistent accuracy in documentation, receipts, reporting, communication, and adherence to procedures
Professional, reliable, and accountable; demonstrates sound judgment and follows through on commitments
Willingness to travel for 3--5 weeks at a time and work in close coordination with the traveling team
Benefits & Perks
Medical, dental, and vision insurance
Company-paid life insurance and long-term disability
401(k) retirement plan
