Director of Marketing & Communications Capital Area Housing Partnership•Lansing, MI• Annual pay range $66,560 - $74,880 The Director of Marketing is responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of all the organization's marketing strategies, communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal. Directs the efforts of the marketing team, and coordinates at the strategic and tactical levels with all other functions of the organization. Ties all marketing activities back to the organizational goals. Oversees major marketing campaigns. To succeed in this role, you will be comfortable with both strategic development and execution. The position requires a high-level problem solver, understanding how to utilize multiple tools at your disposal to accomplish CAHP's fundraising goals. You will manage multiple priorities and help develop a program structure that delivers sustainable results. You will be an excellent communicator with strong writing skills and will be comfortable building diverse relationships throughout the communities we serve. Finally, you have a passion for learning and can take what you learn and turn it into action Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Lead development of Capital Area Housing Partnership's strategic marketing plan and ensure adherence to the goals and brand outlined therein. Responsible for the achievement of the goals and objectives of the marketing plan. Create and monitor evaluation systems related to these goals and objectives and report progress to the Executive Director. Ensure appropriate systems, staffing, and procedures are in place to properly and effectively support marketing. Work closely with staff to design and implement communications strategies and effective messaging for organizational and project specific goals. Work with the Executive Director and leadership team to develop annual budgets for marketing, monitor progress, ensure adherence, and evaluate performance. Assist executive management team, Board of Directors, and program staff in ensuring communications are culturally competent and reach diverse audiences. Manage organizational partnerships that support organizational marketing goals. Develop, implement, and evaluate the annual marketing plan including social media, print and digital content, and email marketing. Ensure that brand identity, messaging, marketing, and communications strategy are infused in all organizational efforts (programming, fundraising, network support). Develop, implement, and evaluate marketing related to programs, special events, and donor cultivation. Oversee the development, design, distribution, and maintenance of high-quality print and electronic collateral including but not limited to annual report, brochures, presentations, newsletters, and reports. Lead the strategy and generation of engaging content for Capital Area Housing Partnership's website, social media and email channels that lead to measurable action. Identify trends, monitor current events and influencers to anticipate opportunities for Capital Area Housing Partnership to engage in and/or lead the conversation on affordable housing at the local and statewide level. Guide the strategy on press outreach, including messaging in press releases, creation of media kits and materials, interview preparation, and responses to press requests. Develop close partnerships with members of the press/media.
