About the job Purpose Ensure accurate, compliant, and timely financial reporting at the country level while acting as the local steward of control, integrity, and operational support. The Country Finance Manager safeguards the link between global standards and local execution — leading accounting, tax, compliance, and treasury processes while partnering with plant and business leaders to drive performance discipline and cash efficiency. Key Responsibilities Accounting, Compliance & Treasury · Lead all local accounting activities (GL, Fixed Assets, AP, AR, payroll postings) in full alignment with Group Accounting Policy and IFRS/local GAAP. · Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring timely, accurate, and reconciled financial submissions. · Maintain balance sheet integrity through reconciliations, intercompany reviews, and accruals management. · Coordinate statutory audits, tax filings, and regulatory submissions in collaboration with external auditors and local advisors. Ensure adherence to the Group Financial Controls Framework and internal control procedures. · Manage local cash & treasury operations, including liquidity planning, cash forecasting, payments, and banking relationships. · Monitor cash conversion, working capital, and credit exposure; implement initiatives to optimize liquidity and mitigate FX and funding risks. · Ensure compliance with Group Treasury policies on bank account management, payment authorization, and financial risk control. Financial Governance · Implement group-wide accounting, reporting, and treasury standards defined by the Head of Accounting & Controls and Head of Cash & Treasury. · Support external and internal audit requests and remediate findings promptly. · Supervise local tax, compliance, and payroll interfaces in coordination with Group Tax Manager and HR. · Enforce proper segregation of duties and approval hierarchies across all financial activities. Business Partnering · Support Plant Managers and Operations Directors in reviewing monthly results, variance analyses, and cost trends. · Partner with FP&A and Head of Costing & Ops Performance Management to explain operational performance drivers. Provide actionable insights to improve cost efficiency, working capital, and cash flow. · Act as a key financial advisor in local investment, cost control, and productivity initiatives. People Leadership · Lead and develop the local accounting, treasury, and finance team, building professional skills, process discipline, and continuous improvement mindset. · Foster collaboration and accountability — shifting culture from “task execution” to “ownership and insight.” · Ensure strong succession planning and capability development within the local finance function. Continuous Improvement · Drive standardization of SAP and BERG financial processes and master data integrity. · Identify and eliminate inefficiencies in closing, reporting, treasury, and control procedures. · Support Finance Transformation initiatives and act as a local change agent for automation, process upgrades, and capability development. · Share best practices and lessons learned across regions to promote cross-country alignment and efficiency.
