About the job Description About the Company: Our client is a leading New Zealand organisation undergoing a key transformation in its procurement function. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a project that will significantly improve how contracts are managed and stored, supporting the broader growth and maturity of the business. As a Contract Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring contracts are accurately uploaded and categorised into the new cloud-based contract repository system. This is a structured, administrative role where attention to detail and consistency are key, allowing the team to drive the success of this transformation project. This is a short-term contract opportunity starting mid-January and running until the end of March. It’s a great chance to gain full-time experience over the summer period, a quieter time for the recruitment market. Key Responsibilities Upload contracts into a new cloud-based contract repository system accurately and efficiently. Review contracts and highlight key clauses, including assignment, termination, and other standard provisions. Ensure consistency and quality of data entry across multiple contract types. Collaborate with the procurement and legal teams to clarify contract details when needed. Support the overall transformation and maturity development of the procurement function by ensuring the repository is complete and well-structured. About You You may be a law student, paralegal, or have other relevant experience working with contracts. Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret contract clauses at a intermediate level (minimum). Organised, methodical, and able to work independently to meet deadlines. Ideally Christchurch-based, though applications from Auckland candidates will also be considered. What’s In It For You Full-time contract role until the end of March. Competitive hourly rate. Opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive team environment. Hands-on experience contributing to a key procurement transformation project. If you are detail-oriented, comfortable working with contracts, and keen to play a key role in a significant system implementation, we would love to hear from you. Note – Due to the holiday period, applications will likely be reviewed from Monday 12th January 2026. Applicants must have existing rights to work in New Zealand to be considered for the position.
