Full time Retail & Wholesale Job Description The Senior Category Manager is responsible to develop the overall strategy for a product category and research new product opportunities within the category to drive sale and achieve set targets. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND TASKS: - Analyze data to determine industry and consumer trends. - Identify and establish long-term partnerships with direct distributors and salers. - Stay on the lookout for new suppliers based on strategy. - Assist in setting the yearly budget/sale target and profit per category. - Administer the price setting and respect the margin per category. - Monitor and enhance category/product performance. - Establish long-term development strategies for product categories. - Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products. - Create trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services. - Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility. Monitor price and competition. - Collaborate with buyers and merchandisers to expand product categories. Assume responsibility of budget development and revenue for category. Skills KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: - Prefer e-commerce working experience, like noon/amazon, or experienced in retail industry - Strong Organizational and structural skills.Knowledge in Financial acumen. - High level of Commitment. - Time Management Proficient. - Excellent communication and negotiation skills. - Strong analytical skills, are comfortable dealing with numerical data and have a strong attention to detail. - Ability to dig into detail, manage complexity and drive decision making.
