The Accounting Supervisor manages general accounting functions. You will prepare reports and statistics reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances, and other financial results. This position formulates and administers approved accounting practices throughout the organization. You will ensure that financial and operating reports are accurate and reflect the condition of the business. This position manages supervisors.
Responsibilities:
Financial statement preparation
Performing in-depth analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential issues
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies & procedures, and regulatory requirements
Reconciling balance sheet accounts, experience in inter-company reconciliations preferred
Preparing journal entries/maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger
Assist with internal & external audits as well as tax reporting
Providing support to internal stakeholders, including answering questions about financial data and providing insights
Contributing to special projects as needed, which may involve data analysis, process improvement, or other tasks
Supervise/lead/mentor junior accounting staff, providing training and mentorship
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is typically required
Experience: 5-7+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a fast-paced environment
Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends and variances.
Problem-solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve accounting issues.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
Software Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software Oracle & NetSuite, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant software.
Attention to Detail: Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail.

This job is a grade 20E.
Hours of Operation are subject to change: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm EST.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,560/year to $130,800/year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate's work experience. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
