The Joint Global Health Scholarship Program is being offered to potential students by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) in association with Nagasaki University in Japan. Successful applicants will receive a monthly living allowance of ¥200,000 in addition to full tuition reimbursement.
Nagasaki University will provide the designated supervisory team with a research grant of up to JPY 2,000,000 annually to cover the costs of PhD research for all accepted candidates.
With the potential for a one-year extension, this research grant is given for the first two years.
Additionally, financial assistance for living expenses will be given to the top two or three candidates who scored the highest during the selection process.
According to prior years, each student will receive a living stipend from Nagasaki University of at least JPY 200,000 per month for the first two years, with a possible one-year extension.
Regardless of whether the student is based in Nagasaki or London, the stipend amount is set and stays the same.
