Work for the IMF, work for the world. Applications are now open for the IMF Fund Internship Program (FIP) 2026 — a fully funded summer internship in the United States. The FIP welcomes students of all nationalities, offering an exciting and rewarding opportunity to work at the IMF headquarters in Washington, D.C. Around 50 students from across the globe will be selected for this paid 10–12 week program, which runs between June and September 2026. A PhD in macroeconomics or a similar discipline must be earned within a year or two of finishing the Economist Track. For the Legal Department: Must have earned an LL.M., J.D., or comparable legal degree within the last 12 months. must continue to be enrolled as a student during the internship. must be younger than thirty-two.
