The French Embassy in the United States provides funding for the prestigious Chateaubriand Fellowship Program 2026–2027. This program, which was created especially for PhD students enrolled in American universities, gives them the chance to do a large amount of their dissertation research in France for four to nine months. Depending on the selected track, the fellowship encourages work in a variety of subjects, from science and engineering to the humanities and social sciences.
