SMFG India Home Finance Co. Ltd., acting through its Authorized Officer, has issued a Possession Notice under the provisions of the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest (SARFAESI) Act, 2002 and the Security Interest (Enforcement) Rules, 2002. Despite issuance of demand notices under Section 13(2) of the Act, the concerned borrowers failed to repay the outstanding dues within the stipulated period. Consequently, the secured creditor has exercised its powers under Section 13(4) and taken possession of the immovable properties mortgaged in favour of the company. The notice cautions the public in general and the borrowers in particular not to deal with the said properties, as any transaction will be subject to the charge of the secured creditor. Details of secured assets include residential flats located in Maharashtra (Palghar region), along with corresponding loan accounts and outstanding dues. Outstanding amounts mentioned in the notice range approximately between ₹8.78 lakh and ₹23.94 lakh, along with applicable interest and charges.
