A high‑speed crash involving a high‑end 1,340‑cc sports bike and a car on the NH‑167 bypass road near Palakonda crossroads in Mahbubnagar claimed the lives of five persons, including two minors and a woman in the four‑wheeler and the duo on the bike. The bike rider was identified as Maqdoom Textiles managing director Abid Moinuddin’s nephew and his friend. According to police, the accident occurred around 12.30 am on Monday when a car driven by Basheed was returning to Premnagar after attending a family function at UB Garden beside the bypass road.
